This is something I’m seriously looking into. As an aspiring Ultra runner with my next event booked in for May next year, I’m cautious in making the change and the effect it will have on me with training in the short term, but also would need to look at food intake for the actual events. Currently it’s all fast digesting sugars whilst racing for instant energy obviously.
I’ll need to practise getting in to the checkpoints and chowing down on some steaks 🥩 😂
Haha, yes I feel you as I mean when racing you need sugar instantly otherwise the body is not surviving it. But for me it is more long term and my current diet is just not working anymore .
