I feel overwhelmed but hungry to learn at the same time. It’s not easy sitting down to understand something completely new, but I know how important it is - it’s just something I feel. I’m not trying to frustrate anyone who’s ahead of me, especially developers and others in this space who seem to have it all figured out. I know I come off ignorant sometimes. I’m genuinely trying to learn, even if it takes me longer than I’d like to absorb these concepts.

What’s tough is seeing people talk down to those of us who are still figuring it out. But for the ones who’ve taken the time to help me or even just been patient - thank you. It means a lot.

I’ve picked up a lot already, and I’m trying to put it into action. I’ve got my own node running now, downloaded Bitcoin Core, and have the blockchain accessible so I can have at least some privacy in my transactions. Even messing around with my own miner. That’s a big step for me, and it feels good. There’s still so much I don’t know.

I want to learn how to run a private relay, but it’s hard to figure out right now. I’m in this weird place - between houses and not making much money - so my options feel limited. But I’m trying to do what I can.

Ultimately, I’m just a photographer, musician, and Bitcoin pleb trying to get it right. I’m grateful for the community here and for the people who push me to keep learning, even when it’s uncomfortable. I just wanted to get this out there - thanks for listening.

Also, I do have some more photography prints that I’ll share later if anyone is interested. Trying to lighten the load 🤘🏼

We all start there! Keep learning and pushing forward. It's not you vs others. It's you vs past you.
 Exactly. I appreciate that 🤘🏼
you can make a career out of studying bitcoin. anyone talking down likely knows little themselves.

this site is still one of my favorites to learn something new about how bitcoin works:

Very cool, thanks for sharing bit 🤘🏼
You got this. We are all learning and growing. I just started my own node as well and was thinking of creating my own relay as well.

Keep sprouting ✊🏿
Let me know how that goes for you, I’d love to get that going for a private one eventually
I sure will. I normally ask for help here or AI chatboxes when I am confused.
 Great tools to utilize.
Felt this. Thanks for posting it! 🫂💜
Appreciate the love fam, it came from deep frustration within
You're on the right path brother. Don't let the noise overwhelm the signal. A lot of people have deep passion and let that passion lead...communication is tricky, especially when it's purely text-based. You already "get it," and that hunger to know more will expand your knowledge and abilities. Ignore all pressure and rushing from the outside; the only rush and pressure that matters comes from within/On High. 🤙
Spencer, you’re the man thank you for this. I’ll send you a dm later I’m out dashing atm lol
Forever just a pleb is the way
believe me we are all fed up with coders thinking they are so smart when literally they are glorified editors. spend hours hunting around for a misplaced semi-colon or a lonely >

coding is not that hard it is just most of us do not want to sit at a computer all day typing angle brackets & thankfully the competitive advantage coders had in the 90s and 00s is rapidly disappearing
Idk, there is certainly a skill set to it. Much like learning any language; it takes time and it doesn’t come easy to some.
yes—and the key to learning a language is to use it even when you know you are making errors & be ok with seeming dumb. put in the time and be ok with being an idiot. fyi: chatgpt is a really bad coder. do not ask it for help! will make a small mistake a huge mess.
Followed, here to help a fren.
People talking down: they can get fucked.

They were in your shoes once too

Sounds like you're drinking from a firehose.

If you're ever feeling behind, perhaps sit back, and feel grateful that you don't have to ever think about "that time i spent $100,000+ on a month of rent" (yea -- that happened...to me...). Perhaps better to pick things up a little later and be able to take it seriously from the get go than get to think back to some of those moments.

Also, if you're ever feeling like seeing just how far you've come, go check out #Bitcoin or #BTC on twitter while it's trending. I know they call themselves apes anyway...but it's weird how accurate it is sometimes...

In any case, welcome to the party. Some of us have been at this for 15 years now -- allow yourself some grace to not know everything overnight. And feel free to tell us when and if we're being assholes.
