 UAE is very progressive and all about the future and freedom.
As far as I know they are very much into bitcoin so it would be an amazing opportunity to host Nostr in Dubai I feel.

 Everything I’ve read and seen is the opposite.. I also strongly dislike the slave conditions they have their construction workers under, they take their passports away and work them like dogs for cheap labor, everything they advertise to get them to go n work there is false. I can’t see myself going there.. specially since they restrict free speech and freedom of the press.  While I love Dubai for their progressiveness and opened mind in regards to new tech, I would like to add that they are doing everything they can to block VPNs and censor free speech against their government.
