100%. Too many people of a certain age, in the west generally, but America particularly grew up in an environment that taught them ‘the good guys always win’ without ever: 1. Defining good guys in a meaningful way, & 2. Showing all the times that didn’t happen.  ‘Might makes right’ was a real thing for most of human history and those wielding coercion and power to get their way were not the ‘good guys’.
