I like to root for the underdog!!The reactions towards Trump from the opposition are worth noting… The hate from basically every news station, The BS lawsuits and convictions, the attempted assassination, the news and social companies covering up said assassination.. they have tried so hard to discredit him with no avail for a billionaire to put up with all of that to just steer our country forward has to be respected!!IMHO
I used to be fully infected with TDS. Once I recovered, the attacks from the media started looking crazy and then really dangerous. At this point the fact that the establishment hates Trump is pretty much the best thing he has going for him IMHO. But... he's strongly linked to Thiel (even before choosing Vance, and especially now) and has some pretty disturbing takes on things like police immunity. And he loves spending!
I had to come to terms with the realization that the Democratic Party and the whole establishment are completely corrupt. And that none of the things they said about trump were true. But after all that is seen, there are still some glaring character flaws in Trump that are concerning. Blind spots being my chief concern
Yes, exactly. Blind spots and a susceptibility to flattery and recognition. Who knows what actually happened, but I can totally imagine Jamie Dimon saying something positive about Trump and that being enough. "He's a good guy, one of the best. So smart, so smart." And just like that, one of the worst of the establishment becomes Secty of the Treasury.
I feel my decade long foray into caring deeply about politics waning. I want to see some serious crimes be paid for, some houses on fire, and remorse in some eyes. Beyond that, I’m getting into writings from times of transition. Post fall of Rome, thinkers like Isidore of Seville, what enabled the renaissance… And how to live a sovereign life. There is something soul bleeding about too much political.
