It works fine but you would need to interact with the [Telegram API](https://my.telegram.org/apps)with your credentials. Q: Shouldn't TG users perhaps NOT expose the connection between their 2 profiles (TG->>Signal) so easily ? I'm anticipating that TG has to hand over the full username list (with IP's and phone#'s ) before Pavel can leave France. Ie don't announce your TG nym is now this signal username. (Different for known profiles, obv). Thoughts?
Telegram situation is not about Durov as media likes to show, ok maybe a bit because he doesn't bend by their rules but it's about how easy it is for an ordinary person to get access to all the brutality against human lives governments are supporting around the world. It's only about that. Telegram is their pain in the ass when it comes to hide the truth.
Agreed. But as I (we) move off TG , how do I/we safely leave it and the breadcrumbs behind? I feel as if I put/left a bunch of BitcoinLand related information about me, on the data scraping system. I was always careful but still. I want to sever my TG trail when I leave it. I mean this is probably very impractical, but I also don't want to make it too easy. .for example my Nostr Npub is not announced on my Twitter.
I will probably never leave TG unles it shuts down. I have my whole sports club relying on my groups for organizing trainings and useful bots giving them important information about weather, safety notices and restricted airspaces, etc.
