3 months !? 👀
Most people don’t have 3 days. I think it’s the most we can hope for the critical mass
I think I the rule of thumb is to have at least 2 weeks of food and water. I don't personally know a single person that has that stockpiled.
Yes it’s a problem. I just encourage people to use the rule of 3’s when starting out on their prepping journey. Strive for three days of essentials, then 3 weeks, then 3 months. Then longer. Any crisis we face as a society that lasts longer than that, we are going to have bigger problems than what “bugging in” will help overcome. It’s attainable. And be prepared to make anyone pay dearly at a moment’s notice if they come for you.

Gosh that's amazing. I am good to, as long as the power stays on
I built this on a furniture dolly to charge two 80 A-h deep cycle marine batteries off a solar panel. It’ll run the deep freeze and a bunch of LED lights at least. https://image.nostr.build/9e3e3734362a5daa6001b7d1aafdb73051173ca0821d125c963f6aa60f507e6a.jpg https://image.nostr.build/2653c4c306789d574c8e3492e5b2a3091975defe94688d9a8808e0469d49601c.jpg https://image.nostr.build/b5dd3dc87f1b6698d83b43852eab828e313cacacbd5831fce3cd7034bf9e455e.jpg https://image.nostr.build/274ab269f8d858f3a6d4f2d7bb6ed36c5aee60a0e5390dadc433862cd365555e.jpg
Interesting, setup. I have access these cheaply. I will have to look into it a bit more
I do with food & water. Energy would be my downfall atm. @jackspirko has a great podcast on addressing these matters in a practical way
