🥳 Announcing TWO new services on StartOS!
1. Stable Diffusion is a text-to-image AI, similar to Midjourney
2. FreeGPT is a chat AI, similar to ChatGPT
Both are self-hosted and uncensored, running privately on your own server, accessible from anywhere.

Will it be possible to allow the server to leverage a desktop GPU that’s tied in on the local network? Not expecting that in the first release but it could help performance issues long term.

So we can twll our wives we bought all these rtx4090 for workstuff.
Can you add the development environment to turn docker images into services? I tried installing the dependencies via SSH and it borked my install 😢
https://github.com/Start9Labs/start-sdk
Yes I tried installing it on the start 9 server machine but it borked it. So I was seeking clarification whether I need a second Ubuntu machine to package a docker.
Thanks.
You need to used the SDK to create a package. Only that finished package do you upload to your server as a .s9pk
https://docs.start9.com/latest/developer-docs/packaging
That’s right. I did figure that out and followed the directions on the github. I was trying to install that and the dependencies on the Start 9 instance and wasn’t successful.
I have an extra drive to install Ubuntu on my laptop so then hopefully it will compile running there and I’ll try sideloading.
Thanks.
Do I need to update my Start9 os to get these?
You'll need the latest version of StartOS to see FreeGPT in the marketplace.
