There are so many options!
In modern pieces, steel Rolex, Tudor, some Omega models, GS, all beautiful and will outlive most all of us.
In the vintage market, I really like Enicar watches at those price points. Some really overbuilt pieces that hold their value. Doesn’t stop there tho. There are countless options, particularly military pieces, which will always be desirable to collectors.
I like seamaster aqua terra 38mm with orange face what do you think

There are some nice IWCs in that price range, especially if you like the fleiger / pilot watch look.
Send me pics of which one you like best! I'll look
I like the simplicity and readability of this one - it’s big one though (one of the few watch manufacturers that made fleigers during the war). But yes, they don’t hold their value like a Rolex. https://image.nostr.build/6ce0041abc2763d6301e279961c3175a8227012a5934f0ae46a32495f6b8462f.jpg
Simple, elegant, classy, timeless 🫡
Not gonna lie, they have a big pilot in a brass case with a green dial that is 🔥🔥🔥
I believe it’s called the Spitfire.
However, just like Omega, I suggest searching the preowned market for a discount off retail
What do you think of Panerai? Went through a phase of liking them then not liking them 😂
Check out some of their new rotating, bezel models, although the big pilot is definitely their classic 🤌🏽🤌🏽
I love their new pilot watches, but they too don’t hold value, better to buy those preowned.
You also need a big wrist for most of them.
The MK11 is my favorite model of those @ 36mm
Great taste. I've been drooling over a Speedmaster Moonwatch.
You see the new white one yet?
It’s a huge step for omega, and if I could buy any Speedmaster this year, it would be that one.
The white one is sublime.
BADASS
Even the white snoopy moon swatch drops in a few days. They’re on that white Kool-Aid this year.
I think it’s beautiful and you’ll love it, but you can buy it pre-owned at a discount and it won’t appreciate the way other similar priced pieces will.
Can’t discourage it because I like it, but please don’t buy it new!
Is it because they produce too many of them? Not very desirable?
Not looking to speculate in watches but I do want it to hold it's value if I'm gonna trade sats for it
Omega will always go down as the second best mass produced Swiss brand. They have a one hit wonder in their Speedmaster has stood the test of time due to its history in space, a feat many Watches can do now, but was that led them to over build the Speedmaster during the space race.
Every other piece in their collection comes second to that
If holding value is your most important factor. Steel Rolex is your best bet. Even with a 40% drawdown post pandemic, they still trade at close to double retail for the more desirable models like the submariner and the Daytona.
Those are usually not attainable models, but the incoming depression changes things and allows Normies like you and me without official Rolex purchase history to be friend a dealer and cop one at retail.
