 That model exists because it works. It puts the burden of costs on the seller who can stomach larger investments when they consider the full customer lifetime value. 

I don’t like the incentives it produces, but there’s no denying it’s economically feasible and desired. 
 I didn’t imply that it doesn’t work, just that there are idealists who believe a zapping V4V could replace it. I haven’t seen any evidence that it can, but I hold out hope that it might.
