 The spammers who are openly hostile toward bitcoin & trying to attack the network in increasingly troublesome ways want OP_CAT... Why should I want something that people who explicitly talk about attacking bitcoin want themselves?

 So then in your world anyone you disagree with can stale Bitcoin development by being very loud and supportive towards any potential change

 People who have been actively & openly working to attack bitcoin (explicitly in their own words) want something because it would improve their ability to attack bitcoin. You cannot imporve bitcoin by making it easier to attack. 

People who do not think adversarially should be just totally dismissed when it comes to what that want to do to improve bitcoin. We live in an adversarial world, and in this case you don't even have to guess about whether this one might be used against us or not, it absolutely will be.

 Do you know that OP_CAT makes it easier for them to attack Bitcoin or is this just the impression you have from people talking on social media?

Again, is it the case that anyone wanting to roadblock changes to Bitcoin as far as you're concerned only has to proclaim they will use the change to attack Bitcoin for you to turn against it?

It seems it would be more productive for you to form your own opinion about the quality of a change rather than base your opinion on your fear of what others might do.
