When you think about how the Internet is just networks allowing trusted computers into their network, it's petty shocking to see how far we have scaled this. It's the ultimate pyramid scheme.

Bring back cjdns for mesh networking without ISP.

I remember some years ago in Spain there was a huge community mesh with simple wifi and ethernet, because ISP sucked hard in most area at the time.

Too bad it didn't last.
It is still our backbone. A number of older protocols are fully decentralized and secure in conjunction with Cjdns.

Nostr web services (NWS) could also be useful as an overlay network. I've heard lots of good things about the mesh ISPs in Barcelona.

Currently contributing to TollGate, which aims to put networking infrastructure onto Bitcoin rails. Bitcoin support for your wifi captive portal, Bitcoin support for your internet gateway and Bitcoin support for your gateway's Internet Gateway 😀

Please ping us if you know about the GSM stack and its open source components

Decentralized Internet is needed more than Nostr
That is not "the internet". The internet is peer connections. Centralized ISPs were part of the globalist campaign starting around 1996. Resisting centralized internet is similar to resisting centralized farming. If you really can't string a wire or point Wifi router to a nearby neighbor (or said neighbor has no clue), then "know your farmer" is the next best thing. Or use overlay mesh vpn networks like Cjdns with a centralized ISP to make virtual peer connections while learning to make physical peer connections.
