 It’s amazing to me that the world is still obsessed with low fat diets. So many products cut out the natural fat, and what remains is just a sugar fest.

Fly on an long distant flight- constantly offered breads, juices, fat free yogurts, etc. Sugar bomb after sugar bomb. I usually fast on planes.

At a breakfast buffet right now. Eggs fried in seed oil. The butter packets are mixed with seed oil. Juices and fruits everywhere. Coffee machines whose only milk option is fat free skim milk. The main area is waffles and syrup. The child at the table next to me has a breakfast plate with chocolate-covered waffles, french fries, and juice- just layers of carbs and sugar. One has to dig into the corners of the room to find the meat and boiled eggs and such. 
 At a hotel, and out of the vast selections of appetizing assortments of carb bombs, I had to scour the floor to hunt down four poached eggs and black coffee. Lol. 
 I love the animal fats in my diet. Currently animal fat pilling my kids….. that doesn’t sound too good.

 Surprised there aren't more brands that position themselves as high fat replacements. Low fat probably just so much cheaper to produce per calorie, so incentives favour the status quo

 I also fast on planes. It's funny how shocked the attendent often looks when you say no to the food though. As if nobody could possibly survive 12 hours without chicken pasta and a lump of stale bread.

 Bill Hicks taught me about such things ( not personally 🤩) it’s profit profit profit and bullshit bullshit buckshot fillers. Mainly powders and syrups produced by a few bad eggs.

Seems like a bazillion tonnes of additional waste residue gets left in the bodies of those that get addicted to the chemicals in the food then told ‘you need to take these pills 💊’ to deal with that *

Healthy lifestyle choices lead to a healthier body, mind & soul. 

I’d ban these foods if I could and start food systems on a local permaculture basis. Include everyone in an area and teach my manor good manners whist I was at it. 
 It is amazing how long the lies about fat have persisted, even though we’ve known for decades that it’s complete nonsense.

people are obsessed about it because the industry knows how nature designed our bodies.
For most people it is too hard to step out of this trap, even if they know. But most people don't even know what they're dooing.
That's what drives us to change this way of food to have healthy and happy people around.

 Seed oil is there because cream/fat was getting too expensive. It was great marketing by the industry.  
 And why was it getting too expensive...? 
 I didn't go full keto, or cut carbs entirely, but I dropped 30 pounds and went from a recent diabetic A1c of over 8 down through pre-diabetic syndrome levels to "normal" 5.7 in about 3 months. Blood sugar welll over 300 regularly, down to a 80-120 range.

Love that keto options have become common enough to fill in some of the carb desires. But yeah, travel is rough.

At least most hotel breakfast have eggs of  some sort.

Become a big fan of traveling with a bag of various nuts.

 One breakfast restaurants in Bangkok offers an breakfast plate loaded with processed foods - sausages, ham, 1-2 fried eggs, buttered toast, canned baked beans, spam, and a handcup of vegetables.

While the price of regular cooked food is around 6000-8000 sats. 
 They want us dead. And make the most profit in the processe. It's really the only good explanation. 
 The most logical is that fiat currency and by extension food has made the quality options too expensive for businesses to remain competitive.

 I've noticed the exact same thing on my travels! Today at breakfast they even had chemically colored cupcakes  🧁👀!

But even when I find things I like, I find myself asking the head chef if the eggs are local, whether the salmon is wild or farmed, and if that 'fresh' juice was actually squeezed this morning or just poured from a box labeled 'freshly squeezed'. These days, trusting breakfast isn't enough; we have to verify every bite. ✊

 In the world of broken money they need broken people. Sad story. 
 Can't get fat if you don't eat fat, right?  
 The “granola” area usually has walnut or pecan pieces. One cup for the black coffee, one cup for the nuts. Nobody else seems very interested. 
 Last hotel I stayed at (work trip took about two and a half weeks) luckily had cheap sausage and I’m pretty sure powdered eggs on their breakfast offerings, and even that was all I ate from the breakfast offerings the whole time lol 
 I am sometimes in awe of the fact that there are people eating this way their whole lives who don’t have severe health problems. 

Because it’s not only the airplane and airport, but think of what they stock in every CVS, every convenience store, all the fast-food chains. Those products still exist because people consume them. How do all the convenience store candy and chips and crackers and cookies aisles get cleared out and re-stocked. Millions must be eating it. 

The flu or covid is small potatoes (even our metaphors are stuffed with carbs) — how is anyone still alive at all? 
 Cuz not enough to kill ya, but enough to make ya sick. 

But I'm amazed by ppl who don't have a lot of obvious symptoms after eating this diet for so long.  
 And people wonder why nerve damage is starting to become such a big problem. And IBS. Seed oils definitely cause IBS, and for me at least, a nasty skin rash, and I can't even eat most eggs, something I never realised until just recently, when I got an episode of biliary colic (probably gallstone, made of hard cholesterol) and someone pointed out they feed the chickens on grains.

Unfortunately, they also feed much of the meat animals grains too.

 One more thing that’s bound to change.. I only made big changes to my diet when I was really forced to, thankful for all the great resources out there. They must have good tahine in Egypt, to have with veggies? And then of course eggs, lamb, goat, fish, beef.. struggling with regularity in fasting, irregular intermittent, that’s me.. of all the inevitable changes we face as humanity, that’s one of the ones that may take more time. The powerful food interests are literally vomit inducing. 
 Sugar clearly affects the attention span of people. Sugar spikes insulin, making it an unreliable source of energy. Given its role in ATP production, this is detrimental to cognitive capabilities. People then consume stimulants, which makes it even worse. 
 Ding, ding, ding! Decades of fat free diet propaganda brought us diets deficient in protein and helped society get fat and undermuscled. Muscle that could have been used to combat metabolic syndrome. Now, “climate science” seeks to demonize protein as another nail in the coffin of humanity! 
 I was flabbergasted the first time I saw bitcoiners discussing things like diet (and exercise and pretty much everything thing else!) in a way that I knew to be true. Not in a generic way, like “stop eating so much and go for a walk and you won’t be fat.” Rather, with an understanding that the real scam has been decades of fat free diet propaganda brought us diets deficient in protein and helped society get fat and undermuscled. Muscle that could have been used to combat metabolic syndrome. Now, “climate science” seeks to demonize protein as another nail in the coffin of humanity. 

These sort of things only helped orange pill me further and further as I realized that bitcoiners are individuals who scrutinize the world and seek truth. This broad degree of scrutiny makes it much less likely that bitcoiners are wrong about their conviction for this thing that can make the world a better place.

Even if explained why, they so very few people change their diet. It hurts too.  
 Whilst I think we should differentiate between skimmed milk and other more synthetic or artificial no fat foods, yeh I agree. I don’t think anything should be ‘banned’ but we should certainly put more emphasis on education on nutrition. 
 Fiat food. Disgusting. 
Constant short cuts to quality to keep price somewhat stable in an inflating system. 
 I agree with all of the above but not with the fruits part. Fruits eaten at the right time of the day and especially when you follow seasonal types can be very beneficial.  
 Like bitcoin, you can't see it until you step outside the fiat frame. 
 I am living on a high sats diet.

 Its sad how blind the average person is to how terrible the American diet is. A lot of propaganda goes into convincing us doritos, candy, ect are edible foods

 So true. Such a tragedy. Where are you that this carb laden desert is occurring?  

Reminds me of a cruise buffet or a southern hotel. 

It takes a lot to hunt down those little scraps like eggs and whole cream and when you can’t find em just choosing not to eat and go with a black coffee and be patient for your next meeting venue. 

Then your 2pm meeting is like, “what’s with this guy…” as you’re are half listening and half looking around like your being followed when, all you can think about is a GD mixed greens chicken salad.

i also experimented with soft boiling eggs then frying them - it comes out nice, but too much work.

The fact that “fat free” remains a thing and no one has yet taken advantage of “no seed oils,” especially considering I’d buy the crap out of whatever they sold, just baffles me.

When I go out and get anything, I can tell within 5 minutes of eating it if it was cooked in seed oils (which it almost always is). I’m stopped up and congested almost instantly. I am particularly careful when I’m working on an audiobook because my voice won’t cut together it gets so bad. Kills a days worth of recording sometimes.

When I realized what it was and started asking for my steak or eggs to be cooked in butter, it stopped happening. 
 It’s amazing what is and is not common knowledge. Seed oils is such an easy fix — it’s not like asking people to self-custody their life savings — and yet they remain oblivious. 
 It consumes time and resources to make things worse. Very stupid 
 What’s the solution on an international flight besides starving?

 Fasting. 
Although admittedly it helps if you’re already used to fasting! Probably not a good idea to try it for the first time on a long haul flight.

 It always weirds me out how airplanes serve you dinner at 2am 🤔 
 When a plane flies over an ocean, they serve dinner regardless of the time. They are just like, “well, it’s dinner o’clock”. 
 Having flown 8-9 million miles, I still wonder why the meals served are mostly based on the time zone you've departed rather than the one you're arriving at, with the exception of sometimes you get a "breakfast." 
 ….and then 3 hours later it’s breakfast time!!! Lol.

 I should have fasted on my last flight. I ended up sick for a few days afterward. It was a cross-Atlantic trip and it took 48 hours start to end thanks to a missed connecting flight. Still, the garbage food on the flight didn't help at all. 
 It's crazy. And my wife tells me to eat salad when i eat out. Since salad is essentially water, you just have the sauce. And guess what, the sauce is fat free sugar. So by eating salad, you just eat sugar.

The world is on ab anti fat mania. I think 10 years ago it was worse though. So maybe there's hope

 Shopping with my under 3 yrs old son, he points to a 'butter' on the shelf and says it's the one from kindergarten. He recognizes the green color. 
Yeah fucking great. When did they introduce that, silently, without telling parents? They're feeding this highly processed, only seedoils and glucose bullshit to the toddlers now. And we wonder why he is constipated and sick again for two weeks. I changed my work schedule so I can pick him up before they feed the children lunch, because I know that is crap too. I rather work less than allow my child to be walked down the path of processed food and modern sicknesses. Breakfast I make him in the mornings so he doesn't have to eat any of that bread or fruits in kindergarten later. But noooo, now they place that sweetened seedoil creme in front of the kids and that's just like a sweet. 
Two more months and he's in a different kindergarten, in the woods, exclusively, everyday, mornings and noon, with self provided food. 
These idiot social workers drive me mad. Especially that I know that they don't know what they're doing, they see a green package and that is good right? I could ramble on forever...
