Also, while I’m addressing the anti-TikTok crowd: TikTok is evil, but how much more evil is it than The Walt Disney Company or SiriusXM or YouTube? Do you not consume those things? I know Gen Z likes it, so many of you have to be reflexively suspicious, but… you don’t even need to make an account to watch them. Like, again, god bless and you’re probably morally right for opting out but come on babe bffr. You should probably know one of the most influential cultural forces. Please don’t yell.
Then again, if you bought that Harry Potter game, you’re dead to me. So maybe I’m a hypocrite. But now I’m distracted from the original thought so I refuse to parse the intricacies of this further.
@53de482a there is nothing wrong with hypocrisy. Everyone's doing it
@53de482a TikTok is too good. I cannot have it on my phone and be a functioning person.
@3e57801e It’s honestly so far beyond anything any other corporate media company is doing
@53de482a
I am not on Facebook for the almost the same reasons I’m not on TikTok. I don’t know what they are doing with my data, I do not have any controls over my profiles on either platform.
Zuck is evil.
I don’t know what the intentions of TikTok are and I’m not willing to find out.
I can not trust TicTok period.
Go outside and play.
@6d604338 You can open it in a browser and watch things without an account. You sound silly.
@53de482a I’ll watch a TikTok video every now and then, when my kid shares one with me. Social media in general is a double edged sword. Careful about what you share and with whom.
It’s also a lot like reality tv, why are you watching somebody else live when you should be living life better.
I’m going to play with my animals now.
Have a good day.
@6d604338 Reality TV got a president elected. Ignore and be uninformed at your own risk!
