I understand that this is not going to be the same for many of you – we all have different bubbles of interaction and honestly bless many of you for finding moral superiority in opting out of mainstream things – but when my husband does not watch the TikToks I send him, that is the ultimate betrayal
Also, while I’m addressing the anti-TikTok crowd: TikTok is evil, but how much more evil is it than The Walt Disney Company or SiriusXM or YouTube? Do you not consume those things? I know Gen Z likes it, so many of you have to be reflexively suspicious, but… you don’t even need to make an account to watch them. Like, again, god bless and you’re probably morally right for opting out but come on babe bffr. You should probably know one of the most influential cultural forces. Please don’t yell.
@53de482a Honestly if someone takes the trouble to send me a tiktok then I feel obligated to watch it. I don’t have tiktok installed but my sister sent me one showing a capybara café. if I hadn’t watched it I would have regretted it for the rest of my life. capybaras!!!!!!!
