when I think I am good at home projects I see this master class to remind myself

 WTF are you serious?

Where do you get an axe hammer btw?
I know right! I need one and I apparently don't need a drill or impact driver
yeah, this is the proper way to put on plasterboard over wood framing... i've done a little bit of this kind of work but that little tool makes the job a piece of cake wow

though having said that, i think probably brass screws are gonna stay tight longer
Fair on holding longer, his skill is just so great
I’ve always used hardibacker screws because they hold so well. Anytime I have some place to repair that’s what I use. Granted I use screws for literally everything. I have like one box of nails and honestly don’t even know why, lol. Haven’t used any in years of building stuff 😂
This where I land as well ... Impact driver and a box of screws generally works
the screws just are not gonna shift and give you cracked plasterwork

nicer to have an electric driver though
his skill at cutting and shaping the material is what really gets me. super fast and accurate
The looking-from-the-back-side outlet cutting kinda makes me mad, tbh. I’ve tried that and made a number of wonky looking holes that way.
that's where mud comes in lol
yeah ... I would try that and then find myself starting over with a brand new sheet
i'd be doing it slowly with a stanley knife... and the fastenings with an electric driver... plus he didn't put insulation between the framing, that's a definite no no
Is that exterior though? Don’t really want interior insulation for air flow and temperature evenness on the home, unless you are doing it to dampen sound or something, imo 🤔
Most of our drywall repairs for my company is resecuring the old nail pops 😂
yeah, nails just don't hold in long enough given enough vibration, screws especially the thick grooved ones used for plasterboard are not going anywhere for decades without constant rumbling vibrations
drywall or roofing hammer for older school builders
i like my knife & screw guns though/just my practical app experience after years
hang the rock with an axe & come back to screw it off/ depending how big the job is
Any home improvement store. Typically I see them called drywall hammers
Yup. I like this guy. He's just doing it. 🦾

Unlike today hahaha measure measure hahaha
 Wtf. Insane.🔥🔥🔥🔥
Reminds me about how in the early 1900s you could order an entire house from Sears and all the components come and you could build it yourself. Some of those houses are still standing today. Let's bring this way back!
We certainly need to bring this way back. Price tag may be a bit higher. Better option than $400k starter homes 😂 https://video.nostr.build/012f32b1ed9eb32c3e42bfc570c7473a1ad3d6011f0fef4b99db6b3ada382b29.mp4
I'm ambivalent on the tiny house scene (some are amazing and some are dystopia) (this one looks cool actually), but I will say I would love to move my family into a double wide and dump our home equity into bitcoin, but compromises are a must.
Brother I am with you on that. The Boxable foldable does seem a bit dystopia. Double wides, shipping containers and affordable pole barn options seem more feasible.
 Levels to this
Dude probably supported a wife and four kids with those skills.
