I'm really only confident in identifying oysters & wood ear mushrooms growing wild. I'm still learning & not starving, so playing it safe. 🤣 I'm hoping to see wine caps around March. They're very distinctive & easy to identify. There's a cubic meter of hardwood chip on the bed so it should be interesting.

I've had so many contaminated blocks & bags of grain. It's so much harder than I expected. Fruiting is my biggest issue. I don't have the space to have a fruiting tent to control the humidity, air flow & fungus gnats. I'm thinking my best bet is to leverage my outdoor spaces & accept that I can't control nature.
Ask Bill Gates. 🤪 He reckons he can control nature.
