I had to call the bank to request a verification code to change my pin online. Their automated system wouldn't send me the code (apparently it's glitchy).

It's been a while since I authenticated over the phone & it was pretty intense. They wanted full name, DOB, address, recent transaction, mother's maiden name & the branch where I opened the account.

I was left with the feeling that this was all to make ushering in a govt digital ID more palatable. 

The only reason I needed to call was because their online system is shit.
