Have you tried living in some proper monarchies or close to that, like Dubai, Thailand? Almost any other arab monarchy works if you can understand and accept muslim tradition. Tell me which democracy feels better to you? N.b. if you have mentality like work hard, achieve hard stuff for future generations, your own life does not matter - you are excused. The thing that almost nobody understands, is that desire to be useful to others is a primal need no different from need to feed oneself or have sex. Its one thing to make a comparison between monarchs and democracies. Quite another to defend their stupid traditions setup to try to command allegience from the population. His stupid little hat and throne are nothing more than a pathetic attempt to look important.

If it was as simple as you say, than you would be right. But it isn't. He did not invent the throne and the hat yesterday. This was built up over milleniums. So he is normal, not weird for wearing that. Therefore his looks and clothes are the least important topic. And you should not bring up least important topics before the important topics are resolved. And if you do that, it means you are deverting the discussion, and that means acting sneaky. Tempting - yes, me too. But I am also an old coldblooded proffessional (and successful) manipulator of people. The math of this side of me tells me that: 1. Nobody is perfect 2. Let's say the size of shortfalls of person A is x, and person B - 10x. If I want to publicize shortfalls, and want the masses to perceive them objectively, I have to publicize person B's shortfalls 10 times before I can mention person A's once. That is just me.
