I love it, but as a pipe smoker must ask: how does poplar deal with heat? It can't take much👀 I have mostly bruyere wood collection, that's super hard stuff and still it's not difficult to burn a pipe. But also it takes hours to smoke one, I guess just for weed it's minutes, no?
The box is made of poplar. The pipe is pearwood and walnut. Pearwood in the bowl. It's harder, more gummy and compact fibers. It burns with time but, being careful and cleaning it, I think you have a pipe for decades. I have a couple of my own.

Cool! I never saw a corncob pipe either, tat works and must be soft too.
So you smoke pipes or only for weed?
I parted ways with weed like ten years ago. We weren't getting along so we had to divorce.
In the last couple of years I tried to figure out what was up with tobacco in traditional and ceremonial ways. And I think I understood something, yet we parted ways. So I don't smoke anything by now.
If I light a pipe is very rarely with a mixture of herbs to smoke a place and cleanse it. I grow my own tobacco, and I could be using lavender, chamomile and willow bark or cedar wood. But I stay away from smoke as much as I can.
I too stopped definitely when kids came along. However, getting some nice aromatic tobacco, like some Christmas edition from Peterson, was really nice. When kids get bigger, I'll get myself a new tobacco, a big chair, a pair of slippers and some facial hair🤣
Hapé or Rapé is a really powerful experience with tobacco. Its made of ashes and powder and some medicine plants. I used it for a period of time. Great for tuning brain hemispheres!
