I assumed (SSB days) that he was just prowling for a passive revenue stream by positioning himself at a data chokepoint. SSB's culture is pretty hardcore anti-capitalist, so you can imagine how well that was received. He writes good code on occasion. Reportinator is not one of those occasions...
