Planning on escaping the British winter and traveling to El Salvador in January 🇸🇻 Does anyone that's been have any tips on places to stay / sights to see / best flights from UK/ Europe etc. Please fire me a DM, would really appreciate any info / advice 🙏 #asknostr
Fly via Columbia rather than US. Visit El Zonte.
Thanks for the tip, will take a look! 🤙
I would also recommend visiting Uvita in Costa Rica to see the @BitcoinJungle guys whilst you’re over there :-)
West side of the country is beautiful in temperatures and panoramic views. Los Naranjos Is a good place to have a coffee/chocolate. Early in the morning visit any of the magical towns of La Ruta de las Flores (Apaneca & Ataco are the best) to try some Salvadoran typical food and atoles (type of hot drink, atol de semilla de marañon the best). It is hard to find good pupusas because there are plenty of places to go, but a good place to find a great variety is Planes de Renderos. This is a stop you can make on your way from the airport to San Salvador. Hope you enjoy!
depends on your budget. palo verde in el zonte is the spot if you don't mind dropping about $200 a night (includes breakfast). if you're more on a budget, escencia nativa is about half the price and is a decent place to stay. keep in mind that el zonte is a small sleepy beach town, so everything shuts down early and there's nothing much there besides the beach. great place if you want to just chill and randomly bump into bitcoiners. if you wanna party, stay in el tunco. it's a small beach town near el zonte where people go to party. hit up @Napoleon Osorio to arrange transportation. he has drivers that will take you anywhere.
If you stay at escencia, I recommend rooms 13, 14, or 15. They all have balconies with an ocean view.
Looks awesome!
Hey Joe, I'm planning on visiting with my Mrs and 2 young children at the end of January for 3 weeks, so I've been doing some research, flights, hotels, places to visit etc hoping to make the next meet-up so we can discuss in person if you like, you may be able to give me some tips too I'm aiming to attend https://planb.sv/ when I first get to San Salvador for the first few days.
