Luckily, thanks to gun control, everyone in Venezuela is at a very low risk of being killed by an assault rifle… see guys, tyranny is good. nostr:note1eaf2ufws33kaxelfvrm2ekwntk2ur0r3v0mq8uma25hwjxtm63rqvwtquz
Can you give me some examples of where the nation-wide possession of guns have resulted in a more peaceful/passive suppression of tyranny?
I'm curious because I only ever see the point made that can be summarized as ".. with weapons at least you have a fighting chance against tyranny."
It’s not peaceful. When the people have guns and shoot back it’s civil war. But civil war is better than tyranny.
 The United states.
You say that but the “land of the free” is not as free as it once was and so far I haven’t seen the possession of guns limiting the erosion of freedoms.
I completely disagree. 60 years ago blacks had state mandated segregation. 30 years ago people got arrested for bad behavior at concerts.

Pornography and music was trying to be outlawed federally in the 90s.

There are now dozens of states with constitutional carry.

We have virtually absolute free speech, the only place I the world that has it.

I’ll take living in 2024 over any year in history.

Perfect? No. There are problems, sure, but the US federal government isn’t out in the street with their troops shooting people for protesting.
 Genuine questions:
Did these change because everyone has the right to own a gun?
Did civil rights activists improve the situation for black Americans through the use of guns?
Was the federal government stopped for outlawing pornography and music with guns?

I’m just not convinced that having the right to a gun is the panacea that those that are pro gun believe it to be.
 Yes.

Yes.

Yes.
I don't particularly give a shit if you agree or not.

My father saved my life using a firearm when I was little from 2 robbers with guns. I will die before giving them up.
All those gov/mil riding in open top trucks would be in bad shape if that were rural Texas.

They would stay the hell out of town if half the Venezuelans in those elevated positions had a rifle.
have you heard of the United States of America?
Everyone for gun control says “That can’t happen here. That’s other places.” Yeeeeeaaaaaa sure buddy. We’re no different from anyone else. If it can happen elsewhere it can happen here.
Meanwhile, my yearly AR-15 audit has me thinking about which to trade, sell and of course most I’ll keep
 Yes, keep all 👍
 #Myanmar is another example.

After similar slaughter of unarmed protestors, weapons were acquired by non #gangsterment groups, and now there are effectively several "countries" there.

May that happen as peacefully as possible to ALL the largest, #orwellian animal farms on this planet - #USA, #China, #India, #Russia, #EU, #UK, #Australia, #Canada and so on.

Return to city states is the only way to avoid #global mass #murder (aka "war").

#government #liberty #gunstr
We have no idea what this video is about or if this Venezuela government or even when was this? Be careful trying to make a point with propaganda
 > if i dont win there win be blood
> fraud election to win
> says that he won and that the results are honest
> shoots people anyway
