As a non-dev who can figure out things in code (sometimes) I tried once to do a pull request and it was messy, furtunately the dev took over, clean it and push it in the end, but I would definitely not asky anybody to do it.
I’m a fairly technical user, but I don’t really know or understand code. I’ve browsed github and even though I’m sure I could learn how to navigate it, it’s confusing for me and I know for certain that someone like my wife (not technical) would never figure out how to use it. I get it devs are busy, but telling users to essentially fuck off to another platform (GitHub) or even just another Nostr app is not the way to go, unless perhaps they just don’t want more people using their app 🤷♂️
Adding an issue is the bare minimum, but these days we have like 800 open issues, and people get mad when they finally submit their issue and it’s not fixed immediately. Luckily users can go to any client with less users and ask for features tailored to them to avoid the busy lines.
