Honesty is a precious gift, only give it to those who have earned it from you.  
If you attempt to help those who are not willing to listen, they will turn around and attack you.

full transparency isn't always the best 

 Yes I agree, transparency is vulnerability and there are many who would leverage that power over you. Be cautious who you give that too. Privacy isn't secrecy. 

 Vulnerability is protected by rigorous insistence that the truth prevail. otherwise a tyranny of silence and "tolerance" ensues. Then you have Canada. I have watched it happen. 

 Its funny when they attack though. Then I get to clown them.
