Do you believe in karma? 🤔 https://image.nostr.build/bc03b71052ada4903942fc0ee6fc6ed721da986cf741c358af996be789d4bf1a.jpg
No
I also don't believe in supernatural powers, but sometimes I attempt to rationalize karma. For example, if someone is a gang member and engages in killing people, there is a higher probability that they will face similar violence one day. Similarly, engaging in bad behavior can result in receiving bad behavior in return. 🤔
Yes 👀
Can you explain?
“For every action there is an equal and oposite reaction” Do good things receive good things, if you do bad things you will receive bad things.
You know what bothers me? The "karma" I see being spoken of, is people being fooled into believing someone is bad, which gives them a false sense of superiority and moral motivation to needlessly and senselessly attack the person. So it doesn't matter whether or not a person is bad, he will suffer anyways.
This is something else, people use anything to feel moral superiority over others. Don't you see now, for example, they're trying to link Bitcoin to "terrorism" to create that association that Bitcoin is bad. It's the same with karma, it exists, and then there are people who use the word karma to either elevate themselves or diminish others, but that has nothing to do with karma itself.
I get it. Well, if that distinction is clear. I'm not sure I believe in it. I've had too much to deal with to really think things will turn around for me.
Remember, good things take time, do good, be a good force and you will get good karma and you life will improve 👊🏼 Be strong 👊🏼
I'm more concerned with how it hasn't payed off at all in the past, that makes me very skeptical. My experience is: do good, get shit. Do more good, get more shit. Well, at least it's nice to see you being positive.
I've noticed that karma is used by those people who *think* they've been wronged, and those that *think* they're exacting justice. And all of them don't want to talk about karma when truth turns out to be different than they expected. Same holds for "god's punishment" when it punishes inconveniently.
I would like that very much, especially for all the politicians who only have the best for themselves and not the best for their voters in mind.
Is it an English word ?
It's a English word it is derived from Sanskrit.
Since it was a new piece of information for me, well I will tell you that in Arabic we use the word Karamah. But it means human freedom and independence and not allowing any person to transgress or take away anything from him or violate his honor and what is meant is the wife or mother or sister or daughter is a widely used concept

However, it is possible to understand the damage without necessarily having experienced it yourself... through empathy :) #KeeperOfTheKey
I believe in schadenfreude... does that count?
If it means something like reaping what you sow, then I do. The Bible says: "Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap..." (Galatians 6:7). I was thinking the other day about how Jesus said "Just as you want others to do for you, do the same for them. ...Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over—will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:31, 37-38). Perhaps this could be taken as not just a recommendation but also a warning.
