Another movie or TV question: if you could play any fictional movie or TV character, who would it be and why?
 @Nobody, @pipe, @The Beave, @finrod, @franny and @Michael J, your thoughts. 🤔
Nope. I'm not interesting enough to be a character. The only role I could fit is the gruncle. (grumpy include) I don't know who I would have play me.
 Too many options.
Achilles from Troy, Aragorn from LOTR. I can go on forever.
Btw, ya forgot to mention Thor.
 That would nice too, yeah.
Lol. Try not to be scared by my opinion: Dexter Morgan. 😅

I've always been fascinated by morally ambiguous main characters; they always possess more complexity. And Dexter Morgan is a pitch perfect antiheroic protagonist.
Oh Dexter is a good one, very complex. It would be a hard role to play.
Absolutely! All the more reason why characters like him are so fascinating. 🤔
I started a hellthread. I'm so proud of myself. Gotta dip in an hour, though. 😔
 On you GARY.
This is difficult. I don't watch enough TV. I guess when I was young I fantasised about being a Star Trek character, probably a Vulcan would be ideal. Not too much alien makeup required and being expressionless most of the time would be easier to act.

Otherwise the female lead in an English speaking remake of 악의 꽃 or W: Two Worlds which would be fun but the former was such a diverse role it would be difficult.
In general, none, but I am currently watching a new serial called Wheel of time, and there is one female character who looks interesting, Egwene Al'Vere. She cares almost none for her safety even when she doesn't really poses any physical hero attributes, but she is very intuitive, capable and feminine, unlike some other female characters in that serial which are kind of either rough or a bit too much. I think I like that character enough to play it, she is closest to what I imagine of being a real female character in a very difficult situation.
Jef Costello (Alain Delon) in The Samurai.
 Seinfeld. Cause funny
Pedro Pascal - The Last of Us

Only because I watched it with my wife and she said he reminded her of me.

Or Chris Pine in the Outlaw King. My wife again 😁💪.
I'd be Marv from Sin City, the man has principles and the best one-liners.
That's an awesome answer! I love that movie. That was the era when when Hollywood wasn't constantly trying to promote this woke bullshit. If I had to pick a character from Sin City to play it would probably be Dwight. Lol. The suave bad boy 😎. I would say Josh Hartnett's character, The Salesman, but he barely had any screentime.
Indeed, I miss being able to actually enjoy a Hollywood movie. Dwight was definitely a close second, I love that he's an imperfect hero, soft spoken, not overly strong, but resourceful and always finds a way. The fact that he always changes appearance is almost a metaphor for how any of us could be Dwight.

He's fucking cool.
It's hard for me to think of a perfect way to designate Marv's character 🤔. Like... is he an antihero... an antivillain? Here's the thing, he has noble goals to avenge the woman he loved but he was absolutely ruthless and merciless in how he pursued his revenge.
She was a hooker who showed him kindness and spent an unforgettable night with him before she got killed next to him. She almost certainly did it to use him and hide behind him.

He knew all this but none of it mattered, he was still ready to burn the world in her name and find those who killed her. "Worth killing for. Worth dying for. Worth going to hell for. Amen."

I love his clarity of conviction, it's beautiful.

Anyway he was ruthless and merciless but he was this way with people who deserved it and his goal was righteous, if not very personal. So antihero, definitely not a villain in my eyes.
I can agree with that. Yea, definitely.
@Alice why have you not answered my post, yet?! WTF?! 🤨
Which one I've been fucking around on the internet all day I just got on here
The initial question from this post. Lol. Entertain me @Alice! I just got back from spending three hours in a restaurant/lounge with a bunch of ignorant normies! 😅

 🤣🤣🤣
 What is this from?! 🤣
I recorded Governor Chris Christie's voice and I just type in what I want him to say and then I recorded
This made my week!!! I can't stop listening to it! 🤣👏👏👏
 Good I'm glad
You're, with a doubt, one of my favorite follows after this.
 Thank you LOL 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Governor chris christie because his story needs to be told
He's not a fictional character. Try again.
Fictional. Hmm..... Alice angle from that weird comic and video game
First thought is Paul Atreides from Dune, but I can't quite say why. It just jumped into my head.
Lol. For some reason Jon Snow popped into my head when thinking about who would play Michael J. 🤣🤷‍♂️
Someone once told me I look like Cal Kestis from the Jedi: Fallen Order video game. So I guess I should play Cal Kestis in a movie lol.

You do look surprisingly similar. I can't deny it. Lol.
I'll make Cal my profile pic one day and no one will notice.
Why do you want my city as your profile ?
I've actually never read Jane Eyre... and know nothing about it. Lol. So, it's not obvious... at least for me. 😅😏
So... Jane Eyre is just some sassy cerebral troublemaker who's constantly embarrassing the men around her through the use of her encyclopedic intellect?
Sounds like someone we know 🤔 🤣
Jane Eyre's life is objectively terrible. Cinderella, except that Prince Charming is a cad.

The inheritance is pretty sweet, but until that...
I really like her too. Strength, dignity, positive attitude.

But man, wouldn't want to be her...

Or Darcy either tbf, but he had a much better start in life until... oops no spoilers!
 Rochester, I'm mean.

Those Bronte sisters and their morally ambiguous male leads...
Sounds like someone we know 🤔 🤣
I've never read any of this. I probably should since it's such a part of the anglosphere.
This took off more than I expected. 👀😎
 Good. :)
This is what I get for sleeping in.
Sounds similar to my English classes.

Gosh, couldn't stand reading Angelou.
I remember this! Must show it to my wife in the morning, she'll love it
She gives me the ick. I'm not 100% sure why. I forget what book it books off hers we read. I couldn't wait to be done with them. There are so many black authors that are so much better at her, in any genre. It annoys me that she's the halcyon of (older) black literature. That genre is just Marxist narcissism these days and not worth bothering with.
Yeah, she's very, very far off from the being that I know as Stella.

But she's just an slightly eloquent whore, and an example of what NOT to be more than a shining example of what one ought to be. Yech.
 I'm gigging at your phrasing.
This took off more than I expected. 👀😎
 Good. :)
This is what I get for sleeping in.
For some reason the Christian Bale version of Bruce Wayne comes to mind. I'm just gonna pick a character for @The Beave Robert Baratheon. How's that sound?
I have no clue who that is.
The king from Game of Thrones. FYI, this is how I always end up imagining you irl.

Aside from the better beard, kinda! And I might not say that out loud... But I'd think it. Lol
That's a fictional character... So how would that answer your question?
The question was which fictional character from a movie or TV show would you play?
Oh... I thought you asked who you would want to play us, and that's really different.
Well, that's an interesting question, as well. 🤔
Or perhaps Stella just has a huge crush on Viggo Mortensen. 😁
 My wifu does 🙋‍♂️

Why not Achilles? Is Brad Pitt too much of a pretty boy for Stella?
No she *does have* a crush on Viggo 😂

It would seem Stella has fallen in love with Finrod. 🥰 Awwww... 🥹🥹🥹
Finrod in full battle dress as he charges into Stella's village to rescue her from the collapse of the German economy.

One man army for the win.
Oh, yeah! I completely forgot. 🤣 Stella be remembering my posts better than me...

Pretty sure we all will for some time. 🤣🤣🤣 Where would we be without Finrod?!
That got outta hand REAL QUICK!!! Tbh, I'm glad it did. 🤣👏 Lol! You were right. The cavalry charged in in no time!
My lady, I am not worthy.
 Literally me.
 Me too 😌
This warms my heart. I shall do my best.
Well, it's easier for me to kill the bad guys instead of convicting them in court :)
 Yup...

Lol. I would like to add that it's also less time consuming. 😅😏
 Absolutely :)
 Hmmm, It got better 🤔
 "but still deadly, when necessary."

As all men should be. Tbh, I can't stand when men are incapable of being mean every now and then. The intrinsic lack of backbone that seems to come with such a characteristic always has a tendency to make me lose all respect for men who adopt such a mentality. Just a personal opinion. 🤷‍♂️😁
I'm more of a rusty knight.
But... we're a white knight twenty years ago. That's what matters. I can only assume that you've lost none of your noble values and convictions. Right?
 Values? No. Convtiction? Yes.
But if I say that's am nice looker, I'm a dirty old man!
 Values? No. Convtiction? Yes.
His face is too nice, I like to add a little bit of badass to it.
 Get a mostage.
 Good idea 👍😄
 Join Bond, James Bond.
James Bond is also a good killer, but what I like about Alain Delon is his emotionless face and the speed of killing people. In most movies, the good guy talks a lot right at the moment of killing the bad guy, and this often causes him trouble.
Well should have used "The Machnic".
I have not seen that movie.
About a clean up man 60's-80's. But had a sleep since then.
 Might be a AL pacahino
Ya, I like Al Pacino in The Godfather Part II.
Daniel Craig did a great job of reinventing that character. He felt much cold-blooded than previous portrayals. Which is how James Bond should be. Lol. He's an MI6 agent.
I think Sean Connory steal best
On Majat....Service .
 Evening how are you?
Ya, I like Daniel Craig. I think he was the best James Bond.
I'm still curious about who they'll pick next. I would like to see a black James Bond or maybe even a female 007. After seeing Atomic Blonde I feel like Charlize Theron might be able to pull it off.
I don't like the changes Netflix is making in remaking old movies. I think James Bond should always be a white man.
 Time lost
 You know, it's wrong.

 I can't believe this! 😑😮‍💨
You want a handsome gentleman, but I am a handsome badass. Sorry!
Not saying you aren't, virtual you are.
Half naked in that climate makes perfect sense.

LOL waxed though, tests suspension of disbelief.

Who ever met a Greek that wasn't densely carpeted like a Wookie front and back?
My last post for the night. 👍🤌

 Fair enough.
 Oh jeah, forgot 9 hrs
Every change Netflix makes to the movies makes everything look completely silly. For example, a black girl as Snow White!
If they can find an actor who can give off a similar vibe that Daniel Craig had then I'd be fine with that. Yea, white guy. Maybe Clive Owen. 🤔
Clive Owen is a bit old for this role.
 Me too. 🫣
Racists: This is a way better choice than the black guy! (/grimacing)
