How did we go from less than 1 in 1000 children with Autism to 1 in 36? What changed? https://i.nostr.build/6IR5s7nWKr6AmQcQ.jpg
The vaccine schedule.
it's now okay to self-claim as "autistic" and even woke, unlike how it was back then, so it's more popular, relevant and okay plus, there are probably several welfare support systems in place, that might make the parents more open to get their kid diagnosed
Yep. The range of what’s considered autism expanded a lot
yeah, and thanks to the internet, autistic folk don't feel as alone, closeted and weird anymore now they have others to hang around with
Self-claiming autism has exactly nothing to do with medical rates of autism. It merely an indication of its normalization in culture and nothing else. You may be confusing it with ADHD?
Awareness, access, diagnosis.
Awareness definitely isn't enough to explain what's happening to people. https://video.nostr.build/fedada92c89d76c1cca0fb221db79815674d110e8b5bdae1c6500817ea64ce63.mp4
This can’t explain alone this type of rise. Other countries don’t see a similar rise.
other countries also don't recognize alot of mental disorders either...
I’m not sure which countries you’re referring to but there are many countries that do.
This lines up awfully close to the growth of the internet in American and European households. Likely unrelated but an interesting coincidence nonetheless.
Something something this is a good place to start… https://www.marinhealthcare.org/upload/public-meetings/2018-06-19-600-pm-mhd-community-health-seminar-vaccination/BRANCO_06192018_MGH%20Vaccine%20Presentation.pdf

Reading "Turtles all the Way Down" opened my eyes to this, I never thought I'd be against vaccines, especially after all the brainwashing growing up and med school.
Ima have to read this. The idea never made sense to me about vaccines. If my parents took vaccines, technically I should get their immunity from them? Also this whole multiple vaccines for one virus doesn’t make sense either.
It's a good read, Prof. Tim Noakes recommended it on Twitter, and since he's highly regarded in the carnivore community, I decided to give it a shot (no pun intended). The book will explain all the details you need to know about vaccines.
the book you were referring to, Fernando, namely - the "Turtles all the way down"?
Yeah, it's this one. https://image.nostr.build/a4a11756590e389b078ad5c3f7c35ef14841b0f93da84b2a1f709d8492f87e5d.jpg
got it. thanks!
This happened. https://www.congress.gov/bill/99th-congress/house-bill/5546
no expert here but i’d say nothing has probably changed within the child although, education and awareness have changed correlation and pattern have shed light on the spectrum that has most probably always been around, only it had no certainty, no name
did data acquisition improve? perhaps parent or child diet? nostr:note1nnhm3age5txztu75lur5852729wck47gzxddvl68u2agd9t5vvjq5vgxy8
chemical dna damage is my guess
Same deal with dietary and metabolic disorders and mental disorders. The food is poison, too, as much as pharma. More food and drug tech than ever before but more problems with them, too.
Probably all of the above, a good place to start would be, what was different back then compared to now? What changed the most?
Mad sus data
Could just be diagnosis levels
Refuted by comparative studies. Cheapest thing to do really but health authorities wont fund them. Theres a few docs out there doing it now and its stark. Unvaxxed kids very rarely autistic and also autoimmune diseases pretty much non existent. Everyone should be demanding a proper retroactive comparative study with multiple age cohorts and just put this discussion to bed finally with some good science. Going to need massive transparency effort cause this scam dwarfs smoking and stuff in terms of coverup and misinformation
I was about to relax and now I’m pissed. We need answers and like yesterday. Wife and I already had the talk, if we have a kid we are raising it outside of the US. Not subjecting them to all those shots
I'm raising a kid in the US without shots. So far, it's been pretty easy. They just give me a quick sales pitch on some pediatric visits.
You might have an easier time in some US states than in many other countries
56k modems with no dial up mute ☎️📠🎻🫨🫥
I remember a commercial from maybe 10 years ago and it was 1 in 166
Google says it because of increased testing and awareness. 😄 https://m.primal.net/JTUz.jpg
When it gets to 1 in 2 is it no longer neurodivergent? 😬
Seed oils, vaccines, fake sugar, plastic
100% mostly vaccines. Look at how boomers eat. Try eating that way. We got 8x more vaccines than they did as infants.
The chairman of the DSM committee said it himself that the definition of ADHD and autism was too broad and would include too many healthy people. I personally believe the main cause is overdiagnosis, but also probably a real increase caused mostly by our fiat food and lifestyle.
fake/loose diagnostic practice. Weak minds and lost culture
It all started 1971. Joke aside, most probably better diagnosis techniques, better doctors.
FYI this doesn't remotely line up with the evidence: nostr:note1ug6kh2rwd9frqqs9rktne9x7w6yhqmdgy53mkp3av5zjyh2ad8csmp4crw
1. Diagnosis of Older Generations: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) was only formally recognized in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) in 1980, with significant changes and expansions in diagnostic criteria over the years. Prior to that, many individuals may have been misdiagnosed with other conditions, such as intellectual disability, schizophrenia, or simply labeled as “eccentric.” As awareness and understanding of autism have increased, many older adults may be undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, which explains why we don’t see as many diagnosed elderly individuals. Furthermore, diagnostic services for adults are still lacking, and many older adults may not seek a diagnosis later in life. 2. Gender Disparity: The difference in diagnosis rates between males and females is a recognized phenomenon. However, research suggests that autism may present differently in females, often leading to underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis. Girls may develop better coping mechanisms or mask their symptoms, which can result in them not being diagnosed until later in life, if at all. The historical data on mental disorders does not necessarily reflect the nuanced understanding of autism and its presentation across genders that we have today. 3. Debilitating Nature of Autism: Autism exists on a spectrum, meaning there are varying degrees of severity. Some individuals may have mild symptoms that were previously overlooked or attributed to other behavioral or developmental issues. As awareness has grown, the criteria for diagnosing autism have broadened to include a wider range of symptoms and severities, which accounts for the increase in diagnoses. The perception that autism is always “extremely debilitating” is a misunderstanding of the spectrum nature of the disorder. 4.Historical Reclassification: Several disorders have been reclassified as our understanding of autism has evolved. For example, conditions like Asperger’s syndrome and pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) were merged into the autism spectrum disorder category in the DSM-5. This reclassification has contributed to the increase in diagnosed cases. Your "proof" lacks support from an extensive body of scientific research. The increase in autism diagnoses is better explained by changes in diagnostic criteria, increased awareness, and better diagnostic tools rather than any new or emerging cause.
Better diagnosis.
There's at least 3 huge factors that prove this hand waving excuse to be nonsense. 1. Where are all the incredibly autistic old people? Shouldn't at least SOME elderly been properly diagnosed if literally an order of magnitude more had "slipped through the cracks?" You don't grow out of autism. If that explain literally anything we'd *at least* have twice the number of 50 year olds diagnosed after realizing the mistake. But instead that number is virtually zero. When the comparison to the younger generations is an order of magnitude. 2. The history of psychological disorders is pretty detailed. And there is a roughly even ratio between men and women getting mental disorders for as far back as we can go. But autism affects boys at 4x the rate as girls. And right in line with this chart, the mental disorder comparison between girls and boys takes the exact same divergence. 3. Autism isn't some "hard to find" issue. It's extremely debilitating and completely changes the nature of living with and dealing with that person. Nobody has a seriously autistic child and just thinks "yeah he's a little weird but no biggie." So please show any data from anywhere, by anyone that shows the enormous diagnosis of some other disorder, that got changed to "autism" at a rate of 1 in 36 for any generation in the past 40 years. None of these basic things can be squared. With respect, there is zero logic or evidential support for this blanket claim, and mountains of evidence to suggest its nonsense. I'm sorry, but any medical professional who gives you this excuse and hand waves this away should not be trusted in the slightest, imo.

> 1. Where are all the incredibly autistic old people? In the Republican party.
To be fair different diagnosis must have something to do with it - which I know because my autistic brother wasn't diagnosed with when he was born.. ..but it was probably caused by vaccines anyway (according to his docs at the time) so...
Anyone commenting here who is sure vaccines are fine, please read this, especially if you are considering vaccinating kids. https://www.amazon.com/Turtles-All-Way-Down-Vaccine/dp/9655981045 TL;DR virtually all vaccines are only tested for safety by comparison with other vaccines, which themselves may have adverse events, rather than against a placebo which does not. This obscures any general side effects of vaccines. The control vaccines themselves are either tested against other vaccines (hence the title), or date from a time before clinical trials. And anyone who thinks pharma and the medical establishment can be trusted, please google opioid crisis, maddie de garay, vioxx for starters.
Seconded! Eye opener. I only read it after around 2500 papers on Covid and vax and stuff and started noticing quite how many used fraudulent trial design and fraudulent statistical methods. I stopped reading journals. It’s sad. Science has been totally co-opted. Maybe another avenue nostr needed for. Bring some ethics back to science transparently. It’s become a nightmare world of fiat corruption. We will go backwards without change
Excellent book. It’s a must read
I get the concern, but the book you’re mentioning isn’t exactly credible—it’s known for pushing anti-vaccine myths. Here’s the reality: Vaccines go through strict testing, including trials with placebos, to make sure they’re safe and effective. The idea that they’re only tested against other vaccines is just not true. About your examples: 1. Opioid crisis: Yep, Big Pharma has screwed up, but that doesn’t change the massive amount of solid research proving vaccine safety. 2. Maddie de Garay: Her case has been looked into, and there’s no clear evidence tying her condition to the vaccine. 3. Vioxx: Definitely a scandal, but unrelated to vaccines, which are among the most thoroughly tested medical products out there. If you’re worried about vaccinating your kids, talk to a healthcare professional and check out the overwhelming evidence showing vaccines save lives and prevent diseases.
"it’s known for pushing anti-vaccine myths" - just saying somethings a myth doesn't make it a myth. It's a fact that most vaccines on the childhood schedule are not tested against placebo. 1. The medical establishment and pharma constructed a deception based around the supposed fact that opioids were not addictive. There was zero evidence for this. And of course they are addictive, but they were pushed on millions who are now wrecked junkies because they believed their docs. Far from "screwing up" this was a massive success for pharma and everyone associated, who made billions. 2. Her case hasn't "been looked into", nobody would talk to the family about it - they tried to say she was crazy. The trial she was in IS the evidence associating adverse events with the vaccine. But they simply ignored her.
Read what happened to Maddie de Garay - who was IN THE TRIAL that is supposed to test if covid jabs are safe - then tell me its all fine: https://fullmeasure.news/newest-videos/vaccine-trials
There are more people being forcefully vaccinated and more cases of real and hypochondrial autism
The amount of neurotoxic metals that we inject babies and children with happens to have a similar looking chart on the same timeline... https://m.primal.net/JUNe.gif
Diagnose more cases, sell more drugs, someone figured this out.
I know that there are serious questions about childhood vaccines, but my guess is that we're not looking at one specific cause. It's likely a dramatic drop in overall health (fiat food, poor sleep, less community, lack of natural light and activity) AND far more challenges (medications, toxins in our environment, etc).
Probably multiple causes which are hard to weight for sure at this point. Vaccine shots would be an obvious cause, because they are done at birth (as loony and tinfoil hat as it sounds in today's climate, I wouldn't be surprised if in 50-100 years data about their harm will be collected), a lot of artificial elements in environment (from artificial sweets over-consumed by children to lighting and technology) are likely a contributing factor, just like they are likely a contributing factor to a lot of mental health problems in adults. And also modern environment allows for more people to be diagnosed and treated differently instead of just living with their mental problems without knowing and speaking about them, which was more prevalent in the past.
Diagnosing improved. Or it was actually done.
