 This is his solution to the German Church offering full on Marriage Ceremonies to gays in Germany so as to prevent a schism with them, and could very likely cause schisms elsewhere topped with his abhorrently bad attempts at settling the "Latin vs new mass" debate. This isn't inherently a "he's a Marxist" thing and more has to do with Pope Francis just not being all that good at handling disputes within the church itself, he really doesn't seem that good at interorganizational politics.
