Yes, yes, Aliens and Terminator 2, however I feel a superior sequel often overlooked is Planes 2: Fire and Rescue.

I admit it helps that my kid asks for “the Thunderstruck movie” (even if he thinks the song is about Thunder Trucks).

does it come anywhere close to the Cars movies?

i always loved the concept of talking vehicles in movies, whether it be Knight Rider or Herbie
It’s really good, yes. I’m an aviation nut so was always going to appreciate these films, but I think they’re both as enjoyable as the first Cars movie. Good soul, especially the second.
sounds good, will take a look

any interesting aviation movies and books to recommend, i have a friend that's fascinated by them too and would love to know more
My literary collection is mostly focused on military aviation through a UK lens, World War II and the Falklands conflict. Movies-wise my holidays as a kid would have involved such classics as The Dambusters and 633 Squadron.

Combining the two, Guy Gibson’s memoir, Enemy Coast Ahead, is a fantastic read - not only for the historical account of the Dambusters raid, but also the fact he wrote it aged 25, having lived a life of experiences, accomplishments and responsibilities that today you’d expect would more befit someone twice his age.

Different times.
