Assuming slaughter would achieve your goals then yes.

Emotion I believe is tangentially related to free will. We have the ability to do or act on things even if they are illogical or not in our best interests because we can. Logic might not be the best way to describe it but more like rationalizing things, emotion is an inverse action but not entirely irrational, but inverse perhaps a check.
 @a9bc9943 well, you were talking about economics, which is largely the science of managing scarcity. There are two ways to render economics useless: you either create infinite supply of every product, or kill everyone
 @2eaaf069

It would be difficult to do either of those. But economic models and financial instruments can be skewed entirely based on emotions, everything would be easier to model plot and predict if nothing outside what is graphed occurs.

It manages scarcity but I think it also is trying to model behavior given scarcity.

It should be noted I'm not referring to any particular school of economic thought or advocating of such.

I'm just speaking in terms of graphing things is more difficult when chaos is introduced, emotion isn't exactly chaos, but things can be more difficult to predict when either are introduced.
