Same. I used Matrix fairly often But when I was consolidating a bunch of my services to save some money, I realized I was only really using it for random group chats and end up nuking it because it wasn't a daily chat app for me, unfortunately. 

 Same. I used to run a Matrix server implementation (pretty sure it was lighter than Synapse) running on a RaspPi 4. Was a fun project but I just never used it.
