over the course of my life
i have only listened with worry when someone has expressed to me that free will doesnt exist. it, & i know this is anecdotal, has exclusively been new age people (again, in my experience maybe i just have strange odds on this one.)
I think it depends on the context if we are talking the ability to make our own choices then yeah free will exists.
If we are a product of our environment and nurture perhaps not really.
Def a intresting topic to think on
 why would we be products

are we alive to you in your framework?
I am saying we are all of our past and some of it can form how we make decisions or hinder us thus taking away free will.
In my framework we are definitely alive i am not particularly strong on my view here
 yea i hear you

i guess i see hindering as maybe simply part of the ecosystem of the immensity of a single person. that it is serving free will purpose even if inexplicable to a smaller sense of self Self
 like just the sentiment of..

the mind can think whatever? hallucinate whatever? blame whatever? compartmentalize whatever?

the feet are free & know what they are doing? in their simplicity in their knowing about what they want & where they are going & at what speed at what time?

idk
I hear you and i am exploring my own view on free will with you i can make choices ofc but my moral compass is set by nurture and my past.
I think am not done thinking about it 😂
