 Ham radio is very susceptible to atmospheric conditions. 
 I was wondering if weather was going to be a problem. The rains just kind of started up where I'm at, so we have a lot of cloud cover. 
 From the little reading I did… rain shouldn’t affect the HF signal too much unless it’s getting inside the antenna and creating shorts. 
 I can attest to large trees absorbing 915MHz, but if you back away from them, it usually works around the issue somehow, even without line of sight.
