Something just seems off about primal 😅 First it was having an algo at all, then it was censorship within that, then the kyc wallet shit… I don’t pay too close attention so there might be more. Maybe not. Idk. https://media1.tenor.com/m/tJartlHyKswAAAAC/think-illpass.gif
it's pretty great. The 'kyc' stuff is so that you can put your credit card in there and buy bitcoin. If you don't want to use your credit card it's totally fine. fake email addy is all that's needed to use 1m sats.
No one believed me I still kept all the dms from the Creator of Primal
this is how i feel too.. as someone who came up with astral.ninja... i dont have any need for a client that is a soft landing for newbies that comes with weird undertones of legacy social media such as algos, app store purchases, and kyc. luckily there are legit other choices on bith iOs and android 🤙 but i get it they are a business...can feel a wee larpy though with the whole open sourcing post-product release and all, i get the sense the commitment to FOSS is secondary and only necessary before their main user base is normies...then i think FOSS will not be a priority or even considered, that is how i read the tea leaves anyways..
The KYC wallet is because they use Strike and you don't really even need to KYC. You can use a burner email address.
What about this though nostr:note1yspuvwqnxq73vy42dm7djcaat29al243y3ylnx99s7p28zwhlgmqd36gn0
Interesting. It's still a Strike service though. The whole reason they use Strike is to essentially have a wallet everywhere that Strike is deployed. They don't have to manage KYC info, funds, infrastructure, etc. They just use Strike and reap all of the benefits. This is directly from @miljan while we were having beers and meats.
When there is money flowing, it is always good to wonder why
