Haven’t seen much results but it is still a learning process, my product is quite ready for prime time either so it is understandable. But when I put that advertising budget into sats, that is 6100 sats per day off into the wind. I probably won’t cancel the ad, I gotta figure out traditional ads at some point, but consider just zapping people 6,100 sats per day here and seeing if it works any better. I already zap most posts I enjoy and my default zap is 69 satoshis. If you made it this far in this post, feel free to comment that you see me. 100 sats per repost has worked in the past, the higher the sat amount the more participants though..

eazy peazy, find that number you’re comfortable with chances are you’ll have more than 100 reposts to pay out. only publish the note if you have the next 2-3 hours of the day free so you can actively pay reposts as they come in a great way to show the community you’re actively paying out the bounty is by having them reply to the note once they’re done ( this also helps you trend on algo relays and on primal 24hr feed) win, win. make sure the first portion of the note is a call to action that grabs the users attention before shilling the product in the second half 🤝
the time of the note is also somewhat important aim for 10 - 11 am est or 2 - 4 pm est

I dont want to play the algorithm that much, but I get you. Going viral on nostr is like a nuclear reaction, you need to keep the fire going throughout time with protons of reposts, because the feed is chronological the message dies out quickly.

Probably worth it to bump up the spend for a few weeks. Add longer text, it's all AI matching, so talk to your audience and it'll find them quicker. 🍄🍄
Honestly 100x zaps of 69 sats would probably go waaay farther than Facebook ads. And even if they don't, at least your hard earned sats end up in a pleb's wallet and contribute to the circular economy instead of in Zuck's bank accout.
I think they both have their place, but whenever I post on nostr its like infinity times more real engagement than facebook has for like $100.
Yeah I think you need to go into debt and make a mainstream product to get sales over clearweb sources. Obviously that’s a terrible idea, But paying for ads on Facebook is definitely loosing money trying to make money. It is not a big deal if you don’t have a successful bitcoin company, It’s more important that you actually make a profit. Sounds lame, But I made more in bitcoin by working a FIAT job and stacking than anyone giving me bitcoin or liking my products. The “community” seems more like a giant grift than a group of people who care. From a venture capital perspective, You need a product that outperforms bitcoin. Something that generates bitcoin and an income in bitcoin. The “community” doesn’t give a fuck, It is a hyper competitive version of the antiquated banking system. The reason they present their products is because they need customers and users or they fail. The largest bitcoin holders are not walking around looking for people to give bitcoin to.

Noted, any chance you'll be adding more strains? I'm growing some pinks in a straw only bucket, will the blue oysters grow in that same environment or do they need wood?

I also have more that aren't posted. You can grow blue oyster on straw-only as far as I know. I mostly grow it with hydrated sawdust pellets though.

I can help with spores for those types… But I have fairly generic supplies which can be used for cultivation of all types of mushrooms.

Why not try and find a new way forward that avoids that? Besides that, mushys?! You will only get banned / censored / cancelled anyway!

I'm biased as I think ads are toxic. You shouldn't need (or want) to persuade someone to buy a decent, reasonably priced product or service, someone wants or needs. Think legacy ads are flooded, so signal to noise ratio is insane (although you are fairly niche), you probably could gain some traction with them if you can live with yourself & are happy with the risk and excess cost (which will hurt profit or increase prices). Better to build or tap into a community and genuinely care & want to help people. This takes more effort but will be appreciated - I would try not to be someone looking for a shortcut as they rarely work out. Find groups, networks, places where your target market "hang out" and help people - answer questions, join in discussions, post useful content etc. Make sure your site is prominent and people will look. Once people know you, you can ask for feedback :)
I think you are mostly right, traditional advertising hasn’t really been all that successful yet and I’m not really gung ho about them either, but at the same time I see my much larger and more established competitors doing it, so why can’t I? But it is quite obvious it is toxic. I need to find more places to share knowledge about what I know. I really am looking more for beta testers and pilot projects than real customers at this point.
when i was doing my own biz my ads i delivered them to the letterboxes of the areas i was trying to get customers in i tried one time to do this in bulk with a big letterbox delivery spam company, spent $700 on it, and got zero responses, out of 5000 i estimated that with a laser printer and personal delivery i got 1% response rate, so on equal volumes that means 50, so, comparing, zero versus 1% most methods of advertising are extremely excessive in volume and indiscriminate in the targets it's probably the same for you i picked my areas... places with nice lawns and nice cars, places where people had the money to pay someone to come and fix their PC

I have some solace to offer you. the cost per actions are just insane on FB now. a few years back I paid 1000 dollars on Facebook ads , did endless courses and only made one sale. if only I had know about bitcoin and put the money there instead. a friend of mine who owns a FB ad agency was building a sock brand and for two years he was literally spending 20 dollars to make a 10 dollar sale, all with the goal of seasoning his advertising pixel . just losing money for years and years . still don't know if he's profitable. so yeah, fuck Facebook ads, stack more sats ⚡

Makes sense! I haven’t ran ads on Reddit but might make sense to explore too. Or advertising on a related podcast. I wouldn’t bother with Google, you’ll prob not get far. I had an account flagged because Lion’s Mane appeared on their site (not even in the ad). Or just keep up with what you enjoy and zap away! Good luck
