Give them an example of the staggering inflation when put in the context of a longer period. The price of the "banichka" was at about 0.2 BGN in 1999 (after the hyper inflation and the denomination). In 2204 it costs 2+ BGN. Ask them whether the value of the banicka really 10x-ed in the span of only 25 years, or there must have been something else going on. 

 Wow, I used the “banichka” example back in the day when educating about BTC. And yes, in 1st grade banichka was indeed 0.2 BGN!! I remember it clearly:)!
