People don't care about building communities, when they're in the majority, because everyone around them is part of their community, except for a few oddballs. We oddballs would like to have communities.
Hotrightnow and Christpill would probably be two of the most-lively relays, if you could look directly at the feed.
Going to try actively using them, more, so that they have more signal.
You can? In Damus for example, I go to the global magnifying glass tab, click the funnel thing top right, turn off every relay except hotrightright now, back out to home and return to global tab, and bam I see only posts from hotrightnow. Roundabout way, but it works for looking at a “topical relay” feed in Damus.
Most people just care about paying a membership fee to be part of a community. Applies to equally to cottage communities as does online communities. What was missing up until nostr and ecash was an easy way to pay (zaps) and an easy way to enforce membership (npub lists)
And community relays. Difficult to moderate, otherwise.
Yeah I read this as "What most people want is to be an accepted part of the majority opinion, because conformity is the most valued and rewarded principle". Those poor people will likely spend their whole lives as sheep seeking approval and never know how fulfilling and powerful being a unique individual can be. #nostr #nostriches #plebs #plebchain #grownostr #thoughtstr #homesteading #homeschooling #philosophy #individualism nostr:nevent1qqs0nwl8ch06v5kndghcrhm7379k04karnha6z8l27z50kdzp2csl7qpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsyg8ayz8w3j8jsduq492j39hysg7vnhrtl4zzqcugj4m3q62qlkf8cypsgqqqqqqsmg4fnf
I think I need to just clean up the spam
