Do you have any evidence that the numbers are wrong? Or do you suspect they're wrong and are conflating your suspicion with fact?
I expect Gov to lie. I expect them to change the formula that is used to calculate inflation to be changed to suit.
I have watched gov after gov for decades, lie, lie and lie again. But 4 years later everyone forgets..
