After you add a relay in old.iris.to are you clicking the button "save relays publicly"?
I have tried both ways many times and I’ve tried in both old and new snort Iris. Haven’t tried in a few days though and I’ll try again shortly. Unfortunately my life is hard and I’ve been sounding the alarm bells on this for awhile now. Pretty much ready to give up on this. Everyone is so damn sure that this place is perfect that they lack the vigilance to make sure that it is and that it stays that way.
You could also try another client, https://satellite.earth is good, I use it.
So you think I reese is zanzooring me?
I have no idea, trying these things will help you rule it out.
☀️ The LayerZero Token Distribution has now started.

my only concern is that using my private key on numerous nostr clients seems like a Security risk. Eventually I’ll land on one that’s run by the man - if I’m not already.
It's possible, people recommend using those browser extensions for that reason, but then you have to trust the browser extension. I self-host a satellite.earth instance and from what I've seen it's legit.
WTH, I’ll try it. Let’s find out if it’s I reese doing this to me… thanks
I had a similar problem when I was starting this keypair, but I think what was happening was, the old relay list kept overwriting the new one. I assume relays store that information somehow, so maybe there was a bad one that was screwing things up.

I didn't really do anything to stop it, it just gradually stopped breaking over time, so maybe the same will happen for you.
 What's the alarm?
