It was about 9 dollars a ticket, we bought three. Then there was the $13 combo for popcorn and soda, and about $11 for two additional sodas. Yes, we could make the trip cheaper by not purchasing snacks. However, we did, and I am estimating we spent $60 for the outing, including gas to get there and back.
Now now you didn't say all that. That's totally different from 2 hours for $60 yeah all thay candy & soda they jack prices on ya. When I use to go I would stock up on candy tape it under my shirt & walk in loaded. Only by popcorn because idk why you can never get the salted butter the way it is at a movie theater anywhere else.
I wrote it fast because I didn't think anyone was reading it. I will have to be more thorough in my argument (I won't). Honestly I wrote it because I get ideas in my head, and if I don't share it, I will keep thinking about it and it's a waste of thought in my day. I could spend all day thinking about how I would create activities at my theatre (I don't have a theatre).
This theatre we went to had premade popcorn, no butter 😭 yeah I am guilty about the candy as well.
Always no someone will read what you say!😀 Always best to leave in the details thats ehat makes the note so good. No buttery salt i'd find a new theater asap! What I think is odd is sime movie theaters a little bit of a way from me has a bar inside & the seats have a button to ring a waiter or waitress you can order dinner & a drink while watching the movie. I think it's nuts but you see lots of people at the bar.
When I lived in another part of the country, they had table service, you could eat like you were at a restaurant. That was fun. We would get a bunch of apps and share at the table.
Yeah I hated that I was trying to watch the avengers & all I see is waitors & waitresses constantly walking around with circle trays of food. I got into a very serious argument to get my money back with a manager. I was so furious!
I got an idea: food trucks parked right outside outside, and the movie theatre gets a percentage of all sales from the vendors.
There doing that here already except the food trucks sit on the sidewalk or in the street so they don't have to pay the shopping lot rent they are just parked next to the parking entrances
I get it, but I would let them bring the food in the theatre with a food truck pass. If it gets scanned then the movie theatre makes money, let's say $1 for every $20 spent. The food trucks get to park free and will have exclusive access to our patrons.
I don't know.
I like the idea but remember the movie theater & lot owners are 2 different entities. The movie theater pays rent so will those trucks. When all you own is the lot you want every inch to pay you. i see potentital in this just like I did eith moviepass
here me out, the food trucks belong to the movie theaters.
