Venezuela is a failed state since Chavez, but maduro made it 100 worst.

Vote DO NOT bring a dictatorship down, only guns and people.

Take away your guns for safety? Fuck that shit. Guns in the hands of the citizens are what keep the US from becoming another Venezuela or Cuba.

It has its trade offs like anything else but they’re way asymmetrical.

Its why it was the very next amendment after the very first one.
Fun fact: the founders never debated whether the people should be armed. It was simply understood that an armed populace was the best defense of a free people. Records of the continental Congress show no debate on the matter, and what became the second amendment was hardly discussed beyond a few changes to phrasing.

They did, however, debate very publicly and passionately whether the federal government should be allowed to have an army at all.
Hard to fight for your freedom in an unfair fight.
The fight for freedom will never be fair. Those that want power never intend to use it fairly, so why would anyone expect them to fight fairly to gain it?
 💯
Meanwhile, the trade off could be massive shooting everyday, anyone could be a victim almost unstoppable 😨
By “trade offs”, one assumes you mean the frequent slaughters of innocent Americans in elementary schools, grocery stores, churches, night clubs, concerts and college campuses and, most recently, a GOP rally. If you’re arguing the reality of carnage today is worth it because you think a sea of civilian guns theoretically beats the United States military in a fantasy future matchup, ok, say it. Most Americans disagree.
Oh yeah, and forgot to mention that the “trade offs” also happens in Venezuela, only that the average citizen doesn’t has guns, only thieves and murderers that are allied to the current government, and there is no way for them to defend themselves.
You haven’t yet said what you mean by trade offs in America. Effective means for depressed people to commit suicides? Small children getting their hands on Daddy’s guns and killing themselves or others? What, exactly, do you mean?
All of it. All of it you can do with a tool and its at your disposal without restrictions. Just like an open protocol for money or for communication. Can be use for bad things but it doesn’t mean with need to leave it for the few in power to Hold them for us.
I get it. I just don’t agree with it. If it comes to civil war in this country, I don’t see a few citizens with AR-15s defeating the side with hellfire missiles, unless their ideas are better. I general, I don’t see that either. In general, the social ideas of the side with AR-15s repel me and half of the country and we don’t want to live in that place, so I guess you’ll have to kill us all if you can. Unless our half has the drones, Apaches and F-18s, in which case, good luck with your AR-15s.
