Yea that and pushing off the battle over automation until January. They got a lot of public pushback and at least for the ports in Florida the Governor ordered the state and national guard to take over the ports and ensure they remained operational. A few hours later the union announced the strike was over. 😂

It will benefit the handful of them whose jobs aren’t automated into oblivion in the next few years. They accomplished nothing more than galvanizing public opinion against them.

I don't approve of the unions holding the country hostage in the best of situations, but holding the country hostage, when there are Americans in their area who have lost everything and may die if help and supplies doesn't reach them soon, is horrible.
Unions are the reason we have a weekend and 40 hour work weeks. Them demanding more money because of inflation and cooperations making massive profits will help non union and regular workers wages increase over time they just don’t have the leverage to stand up for themselves like unions do
They didn't seem to give a flying fuck about public opinion. They came back to work because they won what they were after. Your bitching and moaning and panic buying didn't impact a god damn thing other than your own day.
