#asknostr Are there Argentinian nostriches out there who can offer their inside perspective?
would love a plebchain radio interview with somebody who’s on the inside 💜
Isn’t @PABLOF7z Argentinian?
I am
I did not know this. But I do know how you feel about communists. 😉
I don't know what idea there is of communism in here, but I have never heard in the last 40 years of argentine history a president say that they are against private property or that the means of production belong to the state. We have been a capitalist country for 213 years and we will continue to be my friend.
I’m an American, so I only know what I hear from others, but it seems very apparent to me that the incumbent Argentine government is socialist, with the most generous description.
Mmm I think we could say it's a Keynesian capitalism or a welfare state, but socialism is something else, my friend. Argentina is the land of the free, here you can do or say whatever you want and no one is going to deny it. You can buy what you want or do what you want with your money, even if it's not the best money. No one censors or persecutes you. Whenever you want, we are waiting for you with Wine & Asado (BBQ).
The land of the free? No hay high taxes and infinite government expending in the land of the free amigo mio.
And I never agreed with high taxes and endless state spending as well. But I believe that freedom it's something bigger. Like the freedom to choose a different system of government today without anyone denying it to you. Among other things.
What about the corruption? What about the freedom to work and own without your money loosing it value? What about the freedom to open business without excessive regulation? What about the nationalization of pension funds, airlines and the YPF (oil).?? And the attacks to the press? Are you actually free when the value of your property and the entire economy depends on the regime in charge?
It's just that I agree on almost everything. Corruption must be punished, money must maintain its value, it must not be complex to do business. In the experience here, the nationalization of the oil company YPF was due to the purchase of its shares as a private business. In particular, his previous manager was not good. With the flag carrier airline they are managed as a private business as well. Now I share that they must be profitable or have a meaning, otherwise they do not make sense to maintain them, like any private business. In any case, we would be talking about market rules. In Argentina there are still private pensions you are free to choose them if you want, in my case I have half private half public because of my work. As for the attacks on the press, I really don't know what you're talking about. Here everyone can say and do what they want Here everyone can say and do whatever they please. In fact, in the last 4 years there have been many fabricated cases between the judiciary and the corrupt press that led to a vice president almost being shot in the head and then tried in a trial where the prosecutor and the judge were close friends and in fact played together on the same neighborhood soccer team. Something unheard of in the entire history of the judiciary given that it goes against the legitimate process. Finally, yes, Argentina must agree on a long-term state policy.
we are argentinean too, we would love to be in your interview
My man @Kamo Weasel ⭐⭐⭐
Thank you friend for the consideration. I think it's a complex issue, I'm not a Milei voter but I wish him the best. On the one hand I think Milei is pro-fiat (dollar), I've only heard him in an interview talk about #Bitcoin. It's not Bukele. On the other hand, we have had two very bad years of government and inflation that is already intolerable. I believe that whoever has won should set out to reform of the state in tax matter, finances and government debt. Something that worries me is that we have very healthy traditions like quality public health and a public university that has won 5 Nobel Prizes. Almost Unique Things in Latin America. I'm actually a doctor. I don't want that to be lost in the name of Pseudo-Liberalism. We'll see what happens. We need a change. But it must be the one that accompanies the values that we have as a nation. The same goes for human rights, where we have international recognition. Regarding the fact of dollarization, it is something that does not worry me too much because in fact it has #Argentina already been dollarized de facto for a long time. But one thing is for sure, we really know how to play football and make asado... 😅🇦🇷⚽ A big hug to you my man 🫂💜 the times they are a-changin' https://i.nostr.build/kQP5.jpg
🫂
Great analysis. Great comment 👏🏼
Thank you friend.
Having difficulty caring about anything but that meat on the grill.
🍖🥩🥓 🤝🏻 🇦🇷
I would think Milei as a libertarian would be less likely than most to have a negative influence on the growth and development of the bitcoin network though right?
I think it's #Bitcoin been installed here for a long time. You can buy it Non-KYC on your phone with many apps or use debit cards #Bitcoin in many locations in a KYC way. @negr0 many times it shows amazing videos paying with #Bitcoin in Argentina. But here everyone is more interested primarily in a dollarized commodity like #Tether because of the big problem with our currency. As usual, in many places there is a lack of education about #Bitcoin but we have time 🫂🧡
You are doing the Lord’s Work
I'm just a humble Bitcoiner and I like Star Wars... 😬😅
Wishing you all the best and hoping you guys got yourself a Trump.
Thank you Kuzco, big hug 🫂
Maybe you had access to dollars. Poor people don't. Also after Obama, 1 dollar > 1 Nobel prize.
Anyone who can walk to an exchange house has access to dollars here friend. But it is true that any level of poverty is intolerable. I don't particularly use a lot of dollars in my daily life here. Everything here is paid in pesos, The dollar is usually a savings reserve, at least until today and tomorrow I wouldn't be able to tell you hehehe 😅
False. I went to buy dollars with residents, poor people, in Argentina. They were denied service. For some time there were limits, they could buy only a limited amount, until they began to discriminate completely, low income citizens became unable to buy dollars.
>i'm not a Milei voter Good call. Imagine voting for someone that appears listed on the WEF website. Vote for Messi please.
The time will come... 😅 https://i.nostr.build/BYan.jpg
Thanks for the level headed write up. In regards to public education: in the US we see time after time this scenerio. (Blank) is too expensive, and everyone should (blank). We will print a bunch of new money to ensure everyone can get a loan whether or not they qualify and regardless if they should even buy (blank). This leads to more demand without increasing supply. And makes the unaffordable thing (house, college, health insurance) shoot way up in price and even more unaffordable.
🤗 that's what it's #Nostr for all of us to exchange. It's the big problems of our generation that you're describing, my friend. We'll have to deal with them. But we have #Bitcoin on our side, and that gives us the advantage. Let us not lose sight of the things that are important and let us live with joy.
Milei is all for the free market and against legal tender laws, so don’t expect Bitcoin as legal tender. But he wants to take down the central bank and cut down public spending. It’s gonna be a huge challenge, especially since half the country is still very supportive of the welfare state, but at least he got elected so… 🤞 one step at a time!
He wants to dollarize the Argentinian economy first
Milei loves the dollar so much that he wants to dolarize the argentinian economy. If you are a bitcoiner you what does mean.
I don’t need for Milei to be anything in particular. I am deeply interested in his stated intention to dismantle Argentina’s central bank and sprawling, socialist government.
That's his lie or marketing. Dolarize means the central bank won't need to print, he means that and this is the start of his lie. The central bank has another core job, be the insurance of the banks like we saw with the American banks. So he propose to "shut down"(no more printing machine) but he will put a "regulator", just an insurance for the banks. About the socialism, he won't touch the "social plans" (free money for the lazy people) cause they are the "victims of the gov". He can't touch this cause he wanted their votes and cause he doesn't want riots. He is just a big mouth, nothing will change cause I know how they steal the money. You can change the heads but if you don't change the core, they will keep stealing.
That’s quite the bleak outlook. I hope for Argentina’s sake that your are mistaken.
He is economist, he loves the dollar. That means he plays for the financial system and rich people. He never explained what's the money, like every politician in the world.

He is not bitcoiner but his economical views will make many argentinean people to go into the rabbit hole and maybe adopt bitcoin around 2027
La verdad es que la gente ya tiene acceso a USDT y mucha de la economía negra funcióna con $$. Yo espero que Milei cambia la moneda a #bitcoin, pero no tengo mucha esperanza. Es un payaso.
I really hate to be a debbie downer but I fear a lot of people are about to be very disappointed over the next year or so. I hope to be proven wrong. #Argentina nostr:note1kkr2xx5spyzapszgm40lzjvgn2cwknvjx3detw2v8mes0qtp7lss6a3lt2
