i was waiting for something to load on my computer, and thought about your question again.
i suddenly dawned on me that you engage the world from the mindset of a suburban highschool girl.
what you should consider doing, is looking into a mirror, and punching yourself in the face until you see the stupid leave. Then take some time to really ponder the kinds of questions you want to ask to gain wisdom in the world. Do you want to stay at the depth of a Walmart kiddie pool, or would you rather exit cliche altogether, and start asking things like, “what matters in life,” “what creates lasting relationships”, and “what historical choices have led to wide spread freedom, and are there recurring patterns there that can be gleaned and employed”.
Or stay where you are and blow away like a dandelion gone to seed in fall.
Day-uhm.
The next time I need to strip paint, I'll save myself the trip to the hardware store and just read this post of yours aloud.
