@3c96a629 Don't call myself #ultralight anymore, but still weigh everything - keep on rockin!
@a7528bff I’ve seen different definitions of “ultralight” so I’m not officially labeling myself either. My goal is to have a base weight that is 10% or less of body weight. I see people struggling with huge packs and I’m just glad that’s not me anymore. 😁
Onward and upward 👍🏻
@3c96a629 @a7528bff I like the idea of defining ultralight as 10% or less of your bodyweight.

At one point, my base weight was 10 lbs for 3 seasons (13 for winter), but as I have gotten older I have allowed a few comfort niceties to slip in. It has made a world of difference, and I'm only up to 12 lbs.
@5ae91072 @a7528bff What a pleasant base weight! I’m sure it still doesn’t feel like a burden. With our age comes the wisdom of judgement of which luxuries are worth the effort. I have a long hike planned for next year where I will go pretty minimalist, but I can imagine shorter hikes with lots of camp lounging time that would benefit from a couple niceties. 😊
