Any other ultralight/lightweight backpackers here? This is my frameless pack that weighs 19oz. I’ve been backpacking for over 30 years, and I started with all borrowed gear, all made for men (not me or my size). I don’t even know what my ridiculous pack weight was other than barely liftable. Now it’s 14lbs base weight.
I’ve reduced weight over the years by replacing each broken or worn-out item with a lighter option.

@3c96a629 Don't call myself #ultralight anymore, but still weigh everything - keep on rockin!
@3c96a629 Well done! Seems like a sensible and sustainable approach - I've also done more DIY/low cost alternatives to avoid the prohibitive cost of high end ultralight. Problem solving and evolving how I do things is part of the fun for me.
@3c96a629 I have some ultra light gear. Doesn’t last as long, but a way better experience than normal weight. Always check in at Clever Hiker for what’s new and tested reviews: https://www.cleverhiker.com
Awesome 👏 UL had been a game changer for me.
Not necessarily the gear but “ultralight” mindset. I really enjoy the whole process of figuring out the things I don’t need and not “packing your fears”. https://image.nostr.build/dabb2b4295fe463e6eee8659fa22fe265b4da30faf5fd4117e104badbf7aadc0.jpg
