Any good Nextcloud on Umbrel tutorials out there? #asknostr
Interested as well. VPS is super slow and dont want to pay for more compute 🙃
I believe it is pretty straightforward since it is in their App Store. https://apps.umbrel.com/app/nextcloud Unless you’re talking about (perhaps) doing secure remote access to your home server?
Yeah, remote access would be ideal 😅
I would very strongly recommend checking out Tailscale. https://community.umbrel.com/t/how-to-use-tailscale-with-umbrel/6782 It is one of the easiest ways to have a secure connection to your home servers, and you won’t have to punch a hole in your NAT at home. Going to tag @Ava in here to double check I’m not giving bad advice.
Hey, @Forrest 🤙 Here’s a @Start9 NextCloud Community guide https://community.start9.com/t/nextcloud-apps-master-thread/129 From the @Start9 docs “Nextcloud is highly extensible and even has its own App Store. The following guides will help you with the setup, connection, and use of Start9-curated Nextcloud Apps as well as third-party integrations for your server.” https://docs.start9.com/0.3.5.x/service-guides/nextcloud/nextcloud-apps/index Me and @SatoshiConsult would recommend StartOS from @Start9 over Umbrel. The reason? StartOS is fully open source, got better security and the @Start9 team always delivers premium customer service. Best regards
