The sugars caramelize a little and that's what this is all about. A hint of butter and caramelized fruit sugar, then the bursting freshness of fruit that's still firm at the center. Hits the spot for a sweet tooth, but no need to add granulated sugar to make it happen.

I also works with canned fruit. Though the kind that's in "light syrup" or "no added sugar" works better IMO since it tends to be more firm. I'm a bit of a sugar fiend generally so this isn't just a healthy suggestion, it just works better.
