 Most artists aim to get their art seen, make art to express themselves and do it as a hobby. Nostr is still in its early days, so the amount of zaps represents that. As Nostr grows, the best artists will gain the most followers, and will also get an increase in zaps along with that.

It's going to be a grind at the moment, but stick with it, because you have the advantage of being seen and getting ahead. 🖼️🎨
 
 A key point that makes nostr different is that even if nostr was huge, a niche artist with a relatively small audience could still easily monetize their content immediately among those who like their work. That’s not even possible at all on other platforms that have the power to play gatekeeper, and set minimum requirements on views/listens/followers before you are “eligible” to monetize.
